Ian Bateman is passionate about photography and people, during a conversation he is finding out about you; who you are, what makes you tick. This isn't an uncomfortable interrogation rather a pleasant warm sensation that someone is really interested in you.His view is "how can I capture the magic moments of a couples wedding day if I am unaware of how they react with one another". Some people are very self-conscious and will feel very awkward in a passionate embrace in public, others are able to forget that they are not on their own. The key skill of a wedding photographer is in my opinion to make the image appear that it just happened and that the photographer was lucky to be there at the time. When asked about his photographic style he says "I suppose that it's a blend of landscape and environmental portraiture, the venue accounts for a large part of the wedding budget and my images are the couples memories of their day, they must show them in their chosen location. I guess that I aspire to classic "vogue" imagery.
